Membership
The International Perinatal Collegium is a biennial venue for networking and collaboration of senior physician scientist leaders in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine. This prestigious organization has a long and illustrious history and a very distinguished membership therefore membership is considered an honor. Membership is by invitation only. The group is composed of 60 active members with several emeritus members who no longer have active research activities but participate in the meeting as session moderators.
The steps to begin the process to potential membership are:
-
Nomination of proposed individual by an IPC member who will provide:
- Area of focus/contribution to the neonatal/perinatal field
- Biosketch or CV
-
The proposed person will be reviewed by the IPC council who will determine if the person meets the qualifications as a renowned leader in the field.
-
Once this is confirmed, an Invitation to attend the next IPC meeting will be sent to the potential member with a request for presenting an abstract in the form of a brief talk at the next IPC meeting's scientific program.
-
After the talk and if agreed upon by leadership, membership is offered depending on availability of slots.
